Our partners, One Family At A Time have designed a 4 hour tour specially for William’s Houses and we are truly excited to share this experience with our guests. 

One Family At A Time has strict Child Safety and Protection policies and the tour has been designed to give the guests a wholesome experience while at all times preserving and protecting the rights of children and their families. All partners (such as village and commune leaders, school and health centre leaders, and families have approved and endorsed their involvement in the tour).

Travel by tuk tuk to the countryside village where you will be immersed in village life;

• Visit a classroom and observe children learning and playing.

• Watch as rice is farmed and learn about the various stages of rice farming.

• Visit the local health centre and tour the small but highly effective service .
• Spend time with a family who’ve been the recipient of some of the One Family At A Time initiatives and learn about the difference the support has made to their lives. 

Wander through the village and meet families as you walk. Travelling with hotel owner, Kol will provide ample opportunity for you to stop and talk with families and have expert translation and discussion. 

Tour guests are able to stop at a local market along the way to the village so that they can purchase fruit, vegetables, rice or tinned fish to gift to local families. School supplies and supplies for the health centre can also be purchased and the selection and purchase of these items will be supported by your tour leader (please don’t buy these in advance because we need to ensure that all gifts are tailored to the specific needs of the school and health centre). As part of One Family At A Time’s commitment to protecting the environment and enhancing nutrition for adults and children, items wrapped in plastic, plus food and beverages (in particular sweets, lollies and soft drinks) other than those listed above are not permitted.
